As a good restaurant owner, you cannot just spread tables and chairs into the dining area in the hope of serving customers. Dining area layout has to be carefully planned in such a way that staff can provide service to guests more efficiently. This means that your waiters and waitresses can move around the dining area quickly and conveniently as they take and serve customers’ orders. In short, there are fewer obstacles or hurdles within the dining area. Aside from that, a good dining area layout will prevent your workers from getting tired easily. On the other hand, customer convenience and comfort must be considered in the layout. Ample spaces must be available between different tables as well as between seats in the same table. Lastly, there must be a smooth flow of customers coming in and out of the restaurant.
